Cassava stick, the original Congolese energy bar. Wrapped in banana leaves, portable, durable, and filling. Chikwanga is what you eat on a bus from Kinshasa to Matadi when there are no stops. It is the bread that never goes bad, the food that travels, the taste of home for every displaced Congolese.
