A day dedicated to honoring grandmothers across Poland. Grandchildren visit their babcie with flowers, handmade cards, and small gifts. The Polish grandmother is the matriarch of the family, the keeper of recipes, the one who makes the best pierogi and the sweetest kompot. Schools organize performances where children recite poems about their grandmothers, and every bus in Poland carries bouquets of carnations and tulips.
