Dia de la Primavera

Not a public holiday, but a day of celebration in the Azuero Peninsula, where spring marks the beginning of the dry season festival calendar. The Azuero is the cultural heartland of Panama, home to the traditional folk festivals, the pollera dress, and the tamborito dance that defines Panamanian identity. The equinox signals the shift from dry to rainy season in most of Panama, though in the Darien it just means more rain on top of rain.

Animals of Malta Day

You appreciate Malta's unique species including the Maltese wall lizard, Yelkouan shearwater, and painted frog found on these Mediterranean islands. You see that Maltese households commonly keep dogs, cats, and rabbits as their preferred pets. ACADA celebrates the world's pets, and helps assure better care.
