Dia de la Bandera

The day after Separation Day honors the Panamanian flag, red, white, and blue with two stars representing the two political parties that united to create the republic. Ceremonies take place at schools, government buildings, and military barracks. In Kuna Yala, the Kuna flag, with its orange, yellow, and black stripes and the swastika-like symbol of the Kuna people, flies alongside the national flag, a reminder that the Kuna comarca is an autonomous territory within Panama.
