Festa ta' San Publiju
The feast of St Publius is celebrated in the village of Floriana, and the celebration includes a procession, fireworks, and the traditional meal of rabbit stew. St Publius is the first bishop of Malta, and he is the patron saint of Floriana. According to tradition, St Publius welcomed St Paul after his shipwreck on Malta in 60 AD, and he was later martyred in Rome.
