La Navidad liberiana es un día de iglesia, un día de familia y un día de comida. El servicio religioso es a la medianoche del 24, y los cantos son en inglés y en los idiomas locales. La comida navideña incluye arroz jollof, pollo frito, hojas de yuca, hojas de papa y pastel de batata. Los niños reciben regalos, generalmente ropa y zapatos, y los adultos intercambian visitas. The Samoan Christmas is a church day and a family day, and it is celebrated with a church service, a family dinner, and the traditional meal of palusami, oka, and pisupo (corned beef). AHA!: Christmas in Samoa falls in summer : it's 30°C (86°F), humid, and the taro leaves are fresh. There is no snow, no fireplace, and no hot cocoa. Instead, there is coconut cream, ocean breeze, and the sound of hymns drifting from every church within earshot.
