Cabane a Sucre Season

The roads outside Montreal fill with cars heading to cabanes a sucre for the traditional meal: pea soup, ham, omelette, oreilles de Christ, pickled beets, baked beans, and tire sur la neige poured onto actual snow. You leave full, sticky, and slightly diabetic. It is the best meal of the year and it is not close.
