Officially called "Semana de Turismo" since Uruguay separated church and state in 1917, which tells you everything about Uruguayan secularism. The country takes the week off. Punta del Este fills up, the Rambla is packed, and every bakery sells torta ricota (ricotta pie) and rosca de Pascua.
