Originally Armistice Day, commemorating the end of World War I on the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918. In 1954, it was renamed Veterans Day to honor all veterans. In Arlington, the President lays a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. In small towns across America, the VFW posts hold ceremonies. There are 19 million veterans in the United States. The best way to honor them is to listen to them.
