Regional/Cultural Day
Girl Scout Day
On March 12, 1912, Juliette Gordon Low founded the Girl Scouts in Savannah, Georgia. This is also the start of Girl Scout Cookie season, when Americans suddenly develop an intense need for Thin Mints that overrides all budgetary concerns. The cookies are sold outside grocery stores by children who have more business acumen than most CEOs. "Would you like to buy some cookies?" is not a question. It is a command.
