Georgia produces more peanuts than any other state. In Blakely, Georgia, they hold the National Peanut Festival in the fall. But on March 1st, peanut butter lovers across the country quietly acknowledge that they eat it straight from the jar with a spoon at 2 AM. The average American eats 3 pounds of peanut butter per year. This is almost certainly an underestimate because nobody admits how much they eat alone in the kitchen at night.
