The Global Entrepreneurship Monitor ranked Uganda as the most entrepreneurial country in the world in 2015 : 28% of Ugandans own a business. The irony? Most of these businesses are survival businesses (selling tomatoes, running a boda boda, making rolexes), not growth businesses. Uganda is a nation of entrepreneurs by necessity, not by choice.
