Vodun Sinsin Gbe
The sacred forests of Togo hold Vodun spirits in their oldest trees. Nobody enters without the priest's permission, nobody cuts a branch without asking the forest first, and the air inside is thick, cool, and absolutely still even at midday. Whether you believe in Vodun or not, you walk through here with respect because the forest demands it. The trees have been here longer than any living person, and the spirits in them have been here longer than the trees.
