A day meant to celebrate the coexistence of Sudan's many ethnic groups. In practice, it is marked by cultural performances, traditional dance, and a shared meal where the Dinka, Nuer, Fur, Nubian, and Beja communities each bring their signature dish. The table is longer than any single table should be.
