Umunsi w'Ikibere

Rwanda is famously clean : plastic bags have been banned since 2008, and the streets of Kigali are among the cleanest in Africa. This day is when the country shows off. Community cleanups happen nationwide, tree planting is mandatory in some sectors, and the AHA: Rwanda's ban on plastic bags was one of the first in the world, and customs officials will confiscate every plastic bag at the airport. They mean it.
