World Calendar Day

Dia de la Mujer

National holiday since 2024. The marches through Santiago are among the largest in Latin America, filling the Alameda from La Moneda to Baquedano with green scarves and fierce conviction. Chilean feminism has its own voice and it does not ask permission.

Regional/Cultural Day

Dzien Kobiet

The day is observed with flowers, chocolates, and the tradition of giving every woman in your life a flower. Women's Day was originally a communist holiday (it was called the International Day of Solidarity with Women), but it has been reimagined as a day of celebration and demand. Flower sellers are on every street corner, and the most popular flower is the tulip. In recent years, the day has also become a platform for women's rights demonstrations across major cities.
