Yawm al-Sijin
Palestinian Prisoners' Day commemorates the over 4,500 Palestinians held in Israeli prisons : including administrative detainees held without charge or trial. The day is observed with rallies, sit-ins, and the display of posters bearing the faces of prisoners. Families visit detention centres, and human rights organizations publish reports on conditions. It is a day of both grief and solidarity.
