Koningsnacht
The night before King's Day is celebrated with concerts, parties, and the traditional Dutch drinking culture. The concerts are free, the parties are everywhere, and the drinking is copious. The Koningsnacht is the biggest party night of the year, and the streets of Amsterdam, The Hague, and Rotterdam are full of people wearing orange and singing Dutch songs. The bars are open until the early hours, and the streets are a sea of orange. The Koningsnacht is especially wild in The Hague, where the entire city center is turned into one big outdoor festival. The tradition is to start drinking early and stay out late, and the next morning, the streets are covered in orange confetti and empty beer cups.
