Eo Detenga Eo Eibwia

On May 17, 1968, Nauru became an independent republic : the smallest in the world. The constitution was signed in a ceremony that lasted less time than a cricket match. The new nation had no army, no navy, no air force, and no university. It had something better: the highest per-capita GDP on Earth, thanks to phosphate. That wealth would not last, but for one bright moment, the smallest republic was the richest.

You see that dogs, cats, chickens, and goats are commonly kept as pets throughout these islands. ACADA celebrates the world's pets, and helps assure better care.
