Tha Hnit Thit Ku

A day honoring the peasants and rural workers of Myanmar, established by the military government in 1965 as a symbolic gesture toward the rural majority. The celebration includes the traditional meal of htamin (rice) with hin (curry). The day serves as a reminder that the military once claimed to champion the peasantry while consolidating power, and the rural population continues to face poverty and land rights struggles.

You encounter Kosovo's populations of lynx, grey wolves, and brown bears inhabiting the country's mountainous regions and forests. You see that Kosovar households most commonly keep dogs, cats, and chickens as everyday pets. ACADA celebrates the world's pets, and helps assure better care.
