Thingyan Atat Nei
The final day of water fighting, called Atat Nei, when the water battles reach their peak and then gradually subside. The tradition is to make one last round of water throwing before sunset, when the fighting stops and the cleaning begins. In the evening, families prepare for the new year with a thorough cleaning of the house, the cooking of special foods, and the preparation of offerings for the monks.
