Zevsegiin Odriin Bayar
The anniversary of the establishment of the Mongolian Armed Forces in 1921. The day is observed with a military parade, the president's address, and the reminder that the Mongolian military has a 2,000-year history. Genghis Khan organized the first Mongol army on the decimal system (10, 100, 1,000, 10,000), and the discipline and mobility of the Mongol cavalry was unmatched in the medieval world. The day is both celebration and remembrance, and the soldiers lay wreaths at the monument to the unknown soldier.
