A Doua Zi de Craciun
The second day of Christmas is a public holiday, a day of rest, family gatherings, and the continuation of the Christmas feast. The tradition is to visit neighbors and exchange gifts of food and drink. The carolers continue their rounds, and the children go from house to house with the "steaua" (a star on a pole, representing the Star of Bethlehem). The star is decorated with colored paper and bells, and the children sing "Io sus pe munte" (I, up on the mountain).
