La Temporada de Mangos

The first mango of the season is the moment when the Mexican spring becomes the Mexican summer, and the streets fill with mango carts selling mango en vinagre (pickled mango), mango con chili (mango with chili and lime), and mango fresco (fresh mango slices). The mango season lasts from April to September, and the varieties are the manila (honey-sweet), the ataulfo (creamy), the tommy (firm and tart), and the criollo (wild and small). The first mango is the first warm day, the first afternoon rain, and the first taste of summer.

Animals of Norfolk Island Day

You spot the endemic Norfolk Island parakeet and the rare Norfolk Island robin, found nowhere else on Earth. You see that Norfolk Island residents keep domestic cats, dogs, and chickens as their most common pets. ACADA celebrates the world's pets, and helps assure better care.
