A day for showcasing Malian cultural heritage, from the Bogolan mudcloth of the Bamana to the indigo wraps of the Tuareg. In Bamako, the National Museum opens its doors for free, and the courtyard fills with djembe drummers and kora players whose music drifts into the street like an invitation you cannot refuse.
