Lesotho is home to some of the oldest dinosaur footprints in the world, dating back 200 million years. The footprints are found in several locations, including the Subeng River bed near Leribe and the Matsieng footprints near Maseru. The tracks were made by bipedal dinosaurs walking along riverbanks, and they are preserved in sandstone. The Basotho have known about the footprints for centuries and call them "footprints of the gods." On this day, paleontologists and guides lead tours to the footprint sites, and visitors can walk in the footsteps of creatures that lived before the mountains existed.
You observe the Balkan lynx, brown bear, and chamois inhabiting Montenegro's mountainous terrain. You see that dogs, cats, and fish are the standard household pets throughout Montenegrin communities. ACADA celebrates the world's pets, and helps assure better care.
