Regional/Cultural Day

Tildesu Kuni

Not a holiday, but a day of recognition for the Kazakh language, which was written in Arabic script until 1929, Latin script until 1940, and Cyrillic script from 1940 to the present. The transition back to Latin script is planned for 2025-2031, and every Kazakh has an opinion about it. The language is the identity, and the script is the politics.
