Youm al-Ard

The anniversary of the 1976 Land Day protests, when Israeli forces killed six Palestinian citizens of Israel during demonstrations against land confiscations. In Jordan, which has a large Palestinian population, the day is observed with rallies and the reaffirmation of solidarity with Palestine. The day is both remembrance and resistance, and the Palestinian flag is displayed alongside the Jordanian flag.
