Trianon Emléknap

On June 4, 1920, the Treaty of Trianon reduced Hungary to one-third of its pre-war territory. Two-thirds of ethnic Hungarians found themselves living in Romania, Slovakia, Serbia, and Ukraine. Every Hungarian knows the date. Every Hungarian feels the loss. The memorial is not a celebration. It is a wound that has not healed.
