Erste Fahrradtour Tag
Proposed. The first Friday after the clocks change when the evening is light enough to ride home without a light. The Fahrrad comes out of the Keller. The chain needs oil. The tires need air. The saddle is lower than remembered, or the legs are shorter than the memory. The ride to work takes 22 minutes instead of 15. The ride home takes 15 minutes because the wind is at your back. The first Fahrradtour of the year is not fast. The first Fahrradtour of the year is proof that the body remembers what the mind forgot over winter: how good it feels to move through air that smells like spring.
