L'Harmattan
The dry wind from the Sahara reaches Gabon a few times a year, carrying dust, dropping the humidity, and making the air taste like sand. The Harmattan is the only time of year when Libreville feels dry, when the laundry dries in hours instead of days, and when every Gabonese person looks at the sky and says "c'est l'harmattan" as if explaining something that needs no explanation.
