Proposed. When the inner Danish waters freeze, the hardiest swimmers take to the ice. The vinterbadning, the winter bathing, is not for the faint of heart. Groups gather at beach clubs, cut holes in the ice, and jump in. The scream is universal. The sauna afterward is mandatory. The bragging rights last all year.
