Millet beer, brewed at home, served in calabashes, and drunk in circles. Bili-Bili is the village drink, the ceremony drink, the drink that connects the city to the countryside. The millet is fermented just enough, the taste is sour and refreshing, and the effect is social. Nobody drinks bili-bili alone. That would miss the point entirely.
