The rustic cousin of the fonda. If the fonda is the formal living room, the ramada is the backyard party. Branch walls, dirt floor, a band playing cueca, and chicha served in a cup made of a dried gourd. The ramada is where the real dieciocho happens and where the huasos feel most at home.
