Fete de la Peche du Lac

The fishermen of Lake Chad go out in pirogues at dawn, set their nets in the shallow water, and return with capitaine, tilapia, and the enormous catfish that every Chadian fisherman has a story about. The one that got away is always bigger than the one that got caught, and both are smoked and sold in the market by noon.

Animals of São Tomé and Príncipe Day

You encounter African palm civets, African grey parrots, and endemic São Tomé sunbirds as the most iconic wildlife native to São Tomé and Príncipe. You see that dogs, cats, chickens, and goats are commonly kept as pets throughout these islands. ACADA celebrates the world's pets, and helps assure better care.
