The unofficial start of Canadian summer. Fireworks, cottage openings, the first camping trip of the year, and the long weekend that celebrates a queen who died over a hundred years ago and has nothing to do with Canada. Nobody cares. The fireworks are lit, the beer is cold, and the mosquitoes have not arrived yet.
