Hari Ambuyat
The national dish that every outsider calls tasteless and every Bruneian defends with their whole chest. Sago starch stirred into a sticky, stretchy mound, eaten by twirling a chandas (bamboo fork) and dipping into cacah. The real argument is which cacah rules: hijau (green chili), pinak (shrimp paste), or labong (bamboo shoot). Families have split over less.
