Bloco de Rua
The blocos are where carnival actually lives: a drum line, a crowd of five thousand in matching shirts, and one person who brought a whistle that will not stop. You follow the bloco until your feet give out or until someone suggests acai and you realize it is somehow four in the afternoon.
