The Toyota 1000 Desert Race through the Kalahari is Botswana's biggest motorsport event. The whole town fills up and the dust cloud can be seen from tomorrow. Every Motswana knows someone who went just to watch and came back with sand in places they did not know existed and a sunburn they will complain about until next year's race.
