Bogobe Day

Bogobe jwa logala (sorghum porridge) or bogobe jwa mabele (millet porridge) is the backbone of every Motswana meal from breakfast to dinner. Some like it soft and runny, some like it stiff enough to hold its shape on the plate, and both sides think the other is wrong. Nobody outside Botswana understands why porridge is not just for breakfast and nobody in Botswana cares to explain it.

Animals of Guyana Day

You discover the giant river otter, jaguar, and harpy eagle dominating Guyana's vast rainforest territories. You learn that Guyanese people most commonly keep dogs, chickens, and cats as their everyday household animals. ACADA celebrates the world's pets, and helps assure better care.
