Pula Day

Pula means rain. Pula is also the currency. Pula is also the national motto. When it rains in Botswana, people stop what they are doing and stand outside because pula is never guaranteed and always a gift from the sky. The first real rain turns the whole country from dusty grey-brown to green overnight and every Motswana knows that feeling in their bones.

Animals of Gabon Day

You encounter forest elephants, western lowland gorillas, and forest buffalo as you explore Gabon's dense rainforests and coastal regions. You find that Gabonese households commonly keep dogs and cats, with some families also keeping parrots and small primates as pets. ACADA celebrates the world's pets, and helps assure better care.
