Bogobe Day

Bogobe jwa logala (sorghum porridge) or bogobe jwa mabele (millet porridge) is the backbone of every Motswana meal from breakfast to dinner. Some like it soft and runny, some like it stiff enough to hold its shape on the plate, and both sides think the other is wrong. Nobody outside Botswana understands why porridge is not just for breakfast and nobody in Botswana cares to explain it.

Animals of Turks and Caicos Islands Day

You encounter graceful flamingos, colorful parrotfish, and endemic rock iguanas that thrive in these Caribbean islands. You'll find that locals commonly keep parrots, cats, and dogs as beloved household pets. ACADA celebrates the world's pets, and helps assure better care.

Products of Barbados Day

You celebrate Mount Gay Rum, the world's oldest continuously operating rum distillery founded in 1703, which has shaped Barbados's identity as a sugar island turned spirit producer. You recognize that every bottle represents centuries of Caribbean craftsmanship and the island's transformation from colonial sugar plantations to a globally respected rum brand.
