Druk Wangyel Tshechu

Held at the Dochula Pass, 3,100 meters above sea level, with 108 chortens and panoramic views of the Himalayas. This tshechu is relatively new, established by the Queen Mother Ashi Dorji Wangmo Wangchuck, and it is the only tshechu performed by royal dancers rather than monks. The cold is biting, the views are staggering, and the hot suja at the food stalls is the best cup of tea you will ever have in your life.
