Wangdue Phodrang Tshechu
Dates vary. Famous for the Raksha Mangcham, the dance of the ox, which is performed only at Wangdue and nowhere else in Bhutan. The original Wangdue Phodrang Dzong burned down in 2012, and the entire nation watched the footage with tears in their eyes. The tshechu continues in the rebuilt dzong, and every performance carries the memory of what was lost and what was rebuilt.
