Gho Kera Nyi

A cultural day celebrating the traditional dress that every Bhutanese citizen is required to wear in public offices, schools, and formal settings. The gho, that knee-length robe for men, has a massive pouch in front where phones, doma, keys, wallets, and sometimes an entire lunch disappear into a black hole. Every foreigner asks why Bhutanese men look pregnant and every Bhutanese man pats his pouch with pride.
