Talc Powder Gbe
The white talc powder that Vodun priests and initiates paint across their faces, arms, and torsos during ceremonies. Three lines for the trinity of Vodun spirits, circles for protection, dots for invocation. On ceremony days the talc dust floats in the air like snow in a country that has never seen snow, and every pattern on every body is a prayer made visible.
