Ouidah Xwe

The annual Vodun Festival in Ouidah draws practitioners and visitors from across the Vodun diaspora. Drummers, dancers, priests, and priestesses fill the streets in white ceremonial cloth. The procession moves from the Python Temple through the sacred forest and ends at the Door of No Return on the beach. This is the spiritual heart of Benin on full display.
