Wafeldag
The eternal debate: Liege waffle with its caramelized sugar pearls clumping in irregular pockets, or the Brussels waffle, light and rectangular with deep squares. A Liege waffle is bought from a street cart and eaten by hand, gooey and dense, while a Brussels waffle demands a plate, a fork, and probably whipped cream and strawberries. Belgians do not argue about this because both sides already know they are right.
