Praspekt Day
Minsk's Independence Avenue, Praspekt Niezalezhnastsi, is one of the longest avenues in Europe and the spine of the city. Six lanes wide, lined with Stalinist buildings and shops, and ending at the National Library cube. Every Minsker has walked its length, met friends on its benches, and taken photos in front of its fountains. It is the main character of the city.
