Obeah Respect Day
A day acknowledging the spiritual practice that arrived with enslaved Africans and still lives quietly in Bahamian life, especially on the Family Islands. Obeah is not what the movies show; it is about protection, healing, and the deep belief that the seen and unseen worlds walk side by side. Every Bahamian knows somebody who knows somebody, and you respect it whether you practice it or not.
